Virtual Park Shore Coming Soon

March 19, 2020

Dear Park Shore Families and Friends,

Regretfully, Park Shore will remain closed for the week of March 23rd and we will keep you updated on any additional closure. We are monitoring all advice from the CDC and will keep you informed as to when we will be able to reopen. For the safety of our office staff, the Park Shore office will not be open as was originally planned. If you would like to communicate with us, please email Dianne and she will call you back.

Although Park Shore is presently closed, we wanted to reach out to our families to let you know that we are thinking of you and missing our students already. These are definitely unprecedented times and we are in the process of putting plans in place to continue to educate and engage our students. We are fully aware that a virtual classroom is not a replacement for classroom education, but we are hoping the activities we provide will assist your children in still feeling a connection to their Park Shore teachers and classrooms as well as continue their education as much as possible.

We plan to launch Virtual Park Shore on Monday, March 23rd. You will receive an email with links to lessons and activities from your child’s teacher.

Some of the activities and videos you can look forward to are:

  • Story Time With Miss Dianne
  • Weekly Lessons from Your Child’s Teacher
  • Science Activities With Miss Tina
  • Computers/Tech Apps and Games with Miss Crystal
  • Singing and Signing With Miss Taneisha
  • Yoga/Gym/Physical Activities with Miss Taneisha
  • Letter of the Week Activities
  • Scholastic Daily Lessons
  • Virtual Museum Tours
  • Virtual Field Trips

Your child’s teacher will also be in contact with you through Remind to share additional learning activities that are age-appropriate to their classrooms and to answer any educational questions you may have.

We know that these are very stressful and uncertain times for all but we at Park Shore are making the pledge to stick together and help take care of our families and community. We wish you all health and safety. Even without physical contact, we can be there for each other.

Best,

Bob and Chuck Budah
