It is hard to believe that the Explorer’s summer of 2019 is slowly coming to an end.  The trips have been great and the campers have all made new memories that they will carry with them forever.  We are all looking forward to the next two weeks of exciting trips! Adventureland 

REGULAR TRANSPORTATION

We will eat lunch at The Main Event before spending the afternoon filled with thrills on all the great rides at Adventureland Amusement Park. Please wear your travel shirt.  

Tuesday, August 13

VR World

PARENT PICK-UP

Today we will head to Manhattan to enjoy one of New York City’s newest attractions, VR World.   Campers will enjoy and explore the many attractions offered and show off their gaming skills. We will be eating lunch at Heartland Brewery.   We plan to arrive back at camp at around 5:00. Please call the camp office at 4:00 for a more accurate arrival time. Please meet us in the South End parking Lot.  Please wear your travel shirt

 

Wednesday, August 14

Smith Point Beach

REGULAR TRANSPORTATION

Today we will head to Smith Point Beach.  Please wear your bathing suit (and flip-flops) to camp and bring a towel and sunscreen.

 

Thursday, August 15

Dorney Park

PARENT DROP OFF & PICK UP

Please arrive at 7:00 a.m. wearing your travel shirt for an early departure to Dorney Park.  We will eat lunch in the park and dinner on the road.  We plan to arrive back at Park Shore by 9:00 p.m. Parents, please call the camp office at 8:00 to confirm.

 

Friday, August 16

Gravity Vault

REGULAR TRANSPORTATION

Today we are headed to one of Long Island’s indoor rock climbing facilities a few short miles from camp.   We will spend the morning climbing the walls at Gravity Vault before heading to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory in Huntington.

 

Monday, August 19

Wax Museum

PARENT PICK-UP

We are off to NYC!  The Explorers will enjoy lunch at Buca Di Beppo in Time Square before heading to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.  Bring your cameras today as there will be tons of exciting pictures to take throughout the day.  We plan to arrive back at camp at around 5:00. PARENT DROP OFF & PICK UP

All campers must arrive to camp at 8:00am for our trip to Kalihari Resort.   The campers will spend the day at the waterpark and have dinner at the Resort.  We will then participate in a variety of activities during the night. We plan on arriving back to camp at 5:30 on Wednesday evening.  Please call the camp office at 4:30 to confirm our arrival time.  

 

Thursday August 22

Country Fair

REGULAR TRANSPORTATION

We are off on another adventure.  The Explorers will spend the day at the Country Fair in Medford.  Campers will use the driving range, batting cages, go carts, go mini golfing and play outdoor laser tag.  We will then head to lunch at Zaza in Commack.  

 

Friday, August 23

Dave and Buster’s

REGULAR TRANSPORTATION

As the summer comes to a close we will head to Dave and Buster’s in Islandia.   We will spend some time in the arcade, enjoy a banquet lunch and celebrate the end of the Summer of 2019! 

 

Jim, Taneisha, Elwin, Morgan, and Lexi join me in saying good- bye to our Explorers.  We had an amazing summer together and we will miss each of you. We have created so many wonderful memories during our time together in the Summer of 2019!  We wish you a wonderful school year and look forward to seeing you next summer!
