Dear Park Shore Families,
Hello and welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be your teacher this school year! My name is “Miss Shari”, and I am joined by an incredible staff of women. This year your child will have the chance to flourish in a nurturing environment, with many rich and exciting new experiences while making many new friends.
Park Shore’s extensive curriculum will give your children new insight to the amazing world around them. Your children will quickly develop a love for literature, math, science, social studies, and art through exciting lessons each day. They will be sure to come home smiling and sharing new learning adventures with you! Because I am an avid reader my main focus is pre-reading readiness and decoding, and I encourage you to continue the love for reading at home too!
While your children are in classroom 4 they will be treated with respect and kindness so that they have the chance to gain independence, and feel confident in their new found abilities. You will be amazed at how quickly they develop the important three and four year old milestones; don’t be surprised if they teach you a thing or two!
The Park Shore website will have updated “Peek of the Weeks” if you would like to follow our weekly curriculum. Photos will be updated as well, so visit the website often!
If you could please send in the following- an extra set of clothing in case of accidents or spills. Place the clothing in a labeled zip lock bag. Please label every piece of clothing as well! If it is still necessary, diapers and wipes as well. Art smocks will not be needed; I will supply them for the children. The children will also have naptime after lunch; small blankets and crib sheets are recommended to cover their mats. A nap time toy is okay, but we discourage bringing in any other toys from home, we have plenty so there is no need! Send in a picture of your family so that we can start the year off “getting to know each other”, it would be most appreciated.
Remember, no concern is ever too small. I am always available if you have any questions or concerns. We are going to have a fantastic year, and I cannot wait to meet your children!
If you are considering before or aftercare for your child please call the Main Office to let them know as soon as possible so that the following arrangements can be made.
