Dear Parents,

Welcome to Pre-K!   This is a very special year for your child.  It is an exciting time because your child will be learning the basic skill upon which to build future knowledge.    This very important year promises to be one filled with discovery and joy as your child works and plays in an environment that is warm, safe and challenging.

The teachers that will be helping your child are as follows:

Miss Robyn

Miss Kerin

Here are some important things to know about Pre-K.

Playground The children will be going to the playground each day as long as the weather is cooperating.    Please dress your child appropriately.   Crocs and sandals are not recommended.

Home Work   Homework will be sent home and should be returned to school by the end of the week.  Homework should be supervised but the work is review of the lessons taught that week.  Therefore, if your child should have difficulty completing the work, please let me know.  I would suggest having a homework kit at home that contains the following items:  crayons and/or markers, a glue stick and a scissor (Fiskar scissors are recommended).

Snack Snack is provided daily by Park Shore Country Day School.  Should your child like to bring in their own snack from home please label all items with your child’s name.  (we are peanut restricted)

Birthdays You may wish to send in a treat for the class to celebrate your child’s birthday.  The treats must be sealed with the ingredients on the label.   If your child has a food allergy, please send an appropriate snack for your child so they can participate in the party.     If you would like to participate in the party bring a book with you to read to the class.  Please  call me to make arrangements a couple of days in advance so we can select a day and time.

Show and Tell Your child should bring in one item related to the letter of the week for show and tell weekly.

Please label all of your child’s personal belongings.  This includes lunch boxes on the outside, school bags, sweaters, coats, hats, boots, etc.

Please send in  a change of clothing that includes a shirt, underwear, pants and a pair of socks that is in a plastic bag labeled

I am so look forward to working with your child and having a very successful year!  Please feel free to contact me at school, should you have any questions regarding your child’s Pre K experience.

Very Sincerely,

Miss Robyn
