Dear Super Senior Parents,

After last winter’s wild weather, we’re all looking forward to a terrific summer.  The Super Seniors promise to make that summer happen for your child.  The campers will experience the best of two worlds.  They get to enjoy everything that Park Shore camp has to offer. From Skytrail, Bungee, and Rock Wall to soccer, arts and crafts, and swimming, your child will continue the activities at camp that they’ve come to love for years.  As a Super Senior, your child also gets to travel twice a week to many of Long Island’s favorite venues for the day.

Thank you to those parents who came out for travel orientation.  The staff and I enjoyed meeting you all.  If you couldn’t attend, there are a few things to remember throughout the summer.  First, your child will be given two travel shirts on the first day of camp.  He/she will always have to wear their shirt on travel days.  Click here if you need another Super Senior calendar. Second, there are NO electronics to be brought to camp.  Yes, this includes cell phones and/or gaming and music devices.  We wouldn’t want anyone to lose these devices.  Plus, you can always call myself or the camp if you absolutely need to get in touch with your child.  My cell phone number will be given to me and I will make that known to you as soon as I get it.   If any of the Super Senior staff see a camper using their phones, we will be confiscating them for the day and kindly reminding the parent about our no cell phone policy.  Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.  Third, it is very important that you have all of your waivers brought into camp by the end of the first week so that your child can participate in two of the venues that require a parental signature.  The waivers were sent home weeks ago, but if you need them, please leave me a message at the camp and your child will be given one on the first day or you can click here to download and print the waivers.  Lastly, the only days we will be arriving back to camp later than dismissal time will be on those days we go to Splish Splash.  The campers will get back between 5:45-6:15 p.m. (we will remind you as the trip gets closer).

Now that we got all of that out of the way, who’s ready for one amazing summer?  The staff and I sure are.  We can’t wait to watch your child make new friends, face and overcome new challenges, and look forward to the next day.  If you ever have any questions or comments about anything, please do not hesitate to call me.  Your child’s group leader will call you some time before camp starts to introduce themselves and answer any questions you have.  This is also a good opportunity to talk to them about any special needs that your child may require.  Your child’s bus driver will also introduce themselves before camp and bring you a camp bag.

Thanks again for helping us create great memories for your child; memories that they will have for the rest of their lives.

Sincerely,

Reid and the Super Senior Staff

P.S.- We do go swimming once a day at camp so pack accordingly please!
