Dear Parents,

Everyday I am reminded in some way how lucky I am to be working at Park Shore.  Our children are always doing random acts of kindness. I have watched them help a friend up when they fall, they cheer each other on, even a simple act of helping a classmate with their coat makes me proud and smile. They are so special.  You should be very proud.

We have been bouncing on the castle bouncers and learning how to “Step and Throw”.  We play lots of games while testing their coordination and gross motor skills without them even knowing.

Since the weather has been so beautiful, gym has been outside and we have been playing Capture the Flag and Tail Tag, a new favorite game. In Tail Tag, we put scarves in the back pocket of our pants and they have to chase each other and catch as many “tails” as they can.  Please ask at home about Tail Tag.  Another cute game that we play starting with the two’s all the way up to kindergarten is “Crocodile Frog Tag”.  In this game they are learning not to get tagged by the crocodile but when they do they can unfreeze their friends or jump on a lily pad.  There is a lot of laughing while we exercise!!!

We are having lots of  Halloween fun.  We had a mummy wrapping contest and  walked like zombies and sang our welcome song the way monsters would.  It was very SPOOKY!  Once the weather is too cold we will have gym inside and we will tumble, roll and balance in gymnastics.  The fun always continues!!

Please remember to send your little one with a jacket and sneakers for all of our outside fun.

Sincerely,

Miss Jackie Gym
