Dear Park Shore Families and Friends,
As we are in the midst of the holiday season our thoughts tend to turn to shopping, wrapping, decorating, cooking, and watching Elf and It’s a Wonderful Life incessantly!
This holiday season, on the eve of Park Shore’s 60th anniversary, we are overwhelmed by thoughts of how grateful we are for the friends, families and staff that have helped build Park Shore into the amazing place that it is. More than just a place. Our home. We give thanks for our camp and school families and we are so thankful for our 60 year history and the future we dream of.
Working at a camp and school and being a part of the Park Shore culture gives us the opportunity to witness and participate in various acts of giving and kindness. A major part of the Park Shore culture is altruism. It is something we instill in our campers and students every day while they are at Park Shore. We also believe in leading by example.
This holiday season, Park Shore is giving back to our community in a very special way. We are proud to say that we have chosen Kids Need More as our charity of choice for 2019, our 60th Anniversary Celebration Year. For every camp enrollment we receive through December 31, 2018, Park Shore will donate $100 to Kids Need More, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children, families & young adults coping with cancer and life-threatening illness. The proceeds from our second annual Candy Cane Hunt were also donated to Kids Need More. We would like to thank Babylon Macaroni Kid for partnering with us on this spectacular event and for all of the volunteers that gave their time and hearts. We are very proud and excited to have partnered with Kids Need More and to be able to help so many children.
As we all celebrate this holiday season, let’s also take the time to also reflect on the things we can give every day. In this way we can set an example for our children.

Give Your Time

Give Your Smile

Give Your Heart

Giving not only has the obvious benefit of helping others, but it’s apparently one of the most therapeutic things we can do for ourselves!
Best Holiday Wishes,
The Park Shore Team
