It is hard to believe that the Explorer’s summer of 2018 is slowly coming to an end. The trips have been great and the campers have all made new memories that they will carry with them forever. We are all looking forward to the next two weeks of exciting trips!
Monday, August 6
Madison Square Garden- Liberty Game
PARENT DROP-OFF & PICK-UP (PICK UP in SOUTH PARKING LOT)
Please drop off your child by 8:00 for our departure to Madison Square Garden. We will watch the New York Liberty take on the Seattle Storm. We will then head to Dallas BBQ for lunch. We plan on returning to camp at approximately 5:00. Please call the camp office at 4:15 to confirm. Campers must wear their travel shirts today.
Tuesday, August 7
Paddleboarding
PARENT PICK-UP (PICK UP in SOUTH PARKING LOT)
The Explorers are headed to Westhampton for a day of Paddleboarding and fun in the sun. Please bring a change of clothes and a towel. We will arrive back at camp at 5:00. Parents, please call at 4:15 to confirm our arrival time.
Wednesday, August 8
Captree- Fishing
REGULAR TRANSPORTATION
All aboard our very own fishing boat, The Captree Star. We will enjoy a day of fishing and have a picnic lunch. Please wear sunscreen and bring a jacket/sweatshirt.
Thursday, August 9th
Dorney Park
PARENT DROP OFF & PICK UP
Please arrive at 7:00 a.m. wearing your travel shirt for an early departure to Dorney Park. We will eat lunch in the park and dinner on the road. We plan to arrive back at Park Shore by 9:00 p.m. Parents, please call the camp office at 8:15 to confirm.
Friday, August 10th
Beach
REGULAR TRANSPORTATION
Today we will head to Smith Point Beach. Please wear your bathing suit (and flip-flops) to camp and bring a towel, sunscreen, and change of clothes. We will enjoy a picnic lunch.
Monday, August 13th
Wax Museum
PARENT PICK-UP
We are off to NYC! The Explorers will enjoy lunch at Chevy’s in Time Square before heading to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Bring your cameras today as there will be tons of exciting pictures to take throughout the day. We plan to arrive back at camp at around 5:00, Please call the camp office at 4:15 for a more accurate arrival time.

Kalihari
PARENT DROP OFF & PICK UP
All campers must arrive to camp at 8:00am for our trip to Kalihari Resort. The campers will spend the day at the waterpark and have dinner at the Resort. We will then head to the arcade at night. We plan on arriving back to camp at 5:30 on Wednesday evening. Please call the camp office at 4:45 to confirm our arrival time.
Thursday August 16
Country Fair
REGULAR TRANSPORTATION
We are off on another adventure. The Explorers will spend the day at the Country Fair in Medford. Campers will use the driving range, batting cages, go carts, go mini golfing and play outdoor laser tag. We will then head to lunch at Zaza in Commack.
Friday, August 17-
Dix Hills Fire Department
REGULAR TRANSPORTATION
Sadly, the summer of 2018 comes to an end today. We will spend the day celebrating the friendships we have created, sharing all of the memories, and enjoying our last day together as the Explorers of 2018. We will head to the Dix Hills Fire Department for a banquet lunch. We will spend our last day together making memories and dancing with great friends.
Jackie, Taneisha, Dan, Mike and Jim join me in saying good- bye to our Explorers. We had an amazing summer together and we will miss each of you. We have created so many wonderful memories during our time together in the Summer of 2018! We wish you a wonderful school year and look forward to seeing you next summer!
