How many of our campers and staff members consider themselves Park Shore Lifers? (Yes, Mike Levy, we’re talking to you.) The Park Shore culture and experience is like no other. Established in 1959, Park Shore has grown and changed over the years, but there are some things you can always count on. How many of these apply to YOU?

You make Puppy Chow year-round!

Puppy Chow, made during week 7 in Baking and Cooking, is a long-standing Park Shore tradition dating back to 1970! All of our campers and staff wait all summer long until that sweet smell wafts through camp and they get to shake their paper bags and eat the yummy treat!

You follow the countdown timer at Park Shore’s website!

The countdown timer resets every year after the last day of camp and if you are a Park Shore Lifer, you count the days all year long until you can be reunited with your Park Shore friends once again.

You wear your Park Shore FunWear year-round!

Nearly every camper wears their Park Shore FunWear gear throughout the summer, but if you are a Park Shore Lifer, you don your swag year-round at school and probably sleep in it too!

Every time you hear Livin La Vida Loca you have an urge to jump in a pool and do Aqua Zumba!

Aqua Zumba at the pool is a fairly new Park Shore tradition, but it has become a staple of the Park Shore Special Events Calendar. Campers and Staff wait all summer to dance and splash in the pool to music played by DJ Remy and led my our Zumba and Dance Specialists.

You cry on the last day of camp 🙁

The last day of camp is always bittersweet. Every summer we have an amazing time together and share lots of memories. The last day of camp is always jam-packed with fun activities, performers, and of course, The Burn! When the day finally comes to an end, there are always a “few” tears from campers and staff. But we know we will all be back together the next summer! You are definitely a Park Shore Lifer if you need a few tissues on the last day of camp.

Are YOU a Park Shore Lifer? It’s never too late.
