WELCOME to the 2017 Explorers! We are going to have a BLAST, making new friends and traveling to exciting destinations. Buckle your seat belts and get ready for a wonderful summer filled with laughs, and new experiences as you make memories that will last a lifetime!
WEEK ONE: June 26th – June 30th
Monday, June 26
Welcome Explorers! We will spend the morning getting to know each other before heading to Babylon Lanes for a morning of Bowling. Afterwards we will head to lunch at Chilis in Farmingdale. Please wear socks and sneakers to camp today and everyday unless otherwise noted. Campers will receive their travel shirts today.

Tuesday, June 27
We will enjoy an exciting morning at Project Adventure’s High ropes challenge course. Campers should dress for an athletic day. We will then head to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch.

Wednesday, June 28 – Today we will head to Skyzone in Deer Park Campers will spend the morning jumping and playing dodgeball before enjoying lunch at Millers in Commack.

Thursday, June 29 Please arrive at 8:00 a.m. wearing your travel shirt for our trip to Liberty Science Center in New Jersey. We will visit the exhibition hall; and watch an IMAX movie. We plan to arrive back at camp at 5:00 p.m. Parents, please call the camp office at 4:15 p.m. to confirm.

Friday, June 30
***All campers must be dropped off at camp at 8:30 a.m. They will be taking the deep water test prior to leaving camp for our trip. Please bring a change of clothes for afterwards. ***
All aboard our very own fishing boat, The Captree Star. We will enjoy a day of fishing and have a picnic lunch. Who will catch a fish? Please wear sunscreen and bring a jacket/sweatshirt. Campers can bring extra snacks or games if they would like.

WEEK TWO: July 3rd – July 7th
Monday, July 3
We will begin our second week with lunch at The Main Event in Farmingdale before spending the afternoon filled with thrills on all the great rides at Adventureland Amusement Park. Please wear your travel shirt.

***Wednesday, July 5 and Thursday, July 6***
Club Getaway in Kent, CT will be our 1st overnight. Please arrive at camp at 7:00 a.m. wearing your bathing suit, your travel shirt, and sneakers (with socks). Linens are provided but you need to bring 2 towels, clothing for two days, toiletries, two additional bathing suits, a sweatshirt/jacket and “Deep Woods” bug spray. Cell phone service is limited in the area. We will be sleeping in cabins and enjoying camp activities during the day. The evening will include a campfire and a large group activity. We are due back at camp at 5:00 p.m. Parents, please call the camp office at 4:30 p.m. to confirm our arrival time.

Friday, July 7– The Explorers will be heading to United Skates of America. We will enjoy a fun filled day of disco skating before heading to lunch at On The Border in Hicksville.
